Whenever you scan an Oova test, you will receive the concentrations for each hormone being monitored. We also contextualize the hormone levels into a status so you know exactly where you are in your cycle. So, what do these statuses mean? We break it down for you below, depending on whether you're using a fertility or perimenopause kit!
Statuses for Oova Fertility Hormone Kit
The Oova Fertility Hormone Kit will give a variety of statuses depending on where you are in your cycle and what that means for your fertility.
- Low: This indicates that your chances of conception on this day are low. Typically, you will see your LH and PdG (progesterone metabolite) levels on the lower side these days. You may see this status on your scanning window's tail ends (beginning and end). In the beginning, this is where Oova is learning your baseline levels. In the end, it can signal that your next cycle is about to start.
- Fertile: A fertile status means that your E3G (estrogen metabolite) is beginning to rise, indicating you are approaching ovulation.
- High: Your LH levels have begun to increase, and you are in the LH surge portion of your cycle. It would be an ideal time to have intercourse on the high days if you are trying to conceive. It is not uncommon for you to see multiple days of high. A woman's peak LH levels can often be misconstrued as High, especially during her first cycle with Oova.
- Peak: This is when the LH levels have reached the maximum value for your cycle. Do not be concerned if you do not see Peak in your first cycle with Oova. The algorithm can take 2-3 cycles to learn that your peak levels are indeed your peak. If you're trying to conceive, it would be best if you timed intercourse on this day to optimize the chances of conception.
- Post Ovulation: The algorithm detected an LH surge, and the PdG (progesterone metabolite) levels rose afterward. During this phase, your PdG levels will remain elevated, and the LH levels may reduce back to baseline.
Statuses for Oova Perimenopause Hormone Kit
The Oova Perimenopause Hormone Kit will give a variety of statuses depending on where you are in your cycle and what that means for your hormone levels.
- Low: This indicates that your LH and PdG (progesterone metabolite) levels on the lower side these days. You may see this status on your scanning window's tail ends (beginning and end). In the beginning, this is where Oova is learning your baseline levels. In the end, it can signal that your next cycle is about to start.
- Elevated E3G: An elevated E3G status means that your E3G (estrogen metabolite) is beginning to rise. If you are still ovulating, this can indicate that ovulation is about to happen.
- Elevated LH: Your LH levels have begun to increase, and you are in the LH surge portion of your cycle. It is not uncommon for you to see multiple days of high. A woman's peak LH levels can often be misconstrued as High, especially during her first cycle with Oova.
- Peak LH: This is when the LH levels have reached the maximum value for your cycle. Do not be concerned if you do not see Peak in your first cycle with Oova. The algorithm can take 2-3 cycles to learn that your peak levels are indeed your peak.
- Post Ovulation: The algorithm detected an LH surge, and the PdG (progesterone metabolite) levels rose afterward. During this phase, your PdG levels will remain elevated, and the LH levels may reduce back to baseline. If your PdG levels have increased, this can help you understand if you're still ovulating while in perimenopause.
